Enough has been said about how people should come forward to help these faceless kids of slums.....I am not going to say anything apart from what has already been said to make people aware of their situation.....This blog is entirely dedicated as a one to one conversation with these kids directly.....and i will be glad if it reaches one of them......
Dear Nameless Kid,
Probably you are already aware of your situation. You were born in a shit hole, which you have called your home ever since you started making sense of the word. You have no name, no face, no patron, no nothing. Chances are you have been beaten multiple times for no reason whatsoever, that you have spent countless nights mastering the art of sleeping empty stomach in outright cruel weather conditions, that you have been raped at multiple occasions and not just physically, and that you do cheap drugs with other garbage picker friends of yours.
Your conditions have evolved your thought process 4 times that of someone else of your own age. Use it. I am not gonna show you pity, all i wanna tell you is that you are much more powerful than the normal people. Use your adverse conditions and your experience to your advantage. Don't let people pity you or abuse you. Hit back if need be.
Here is a point to point guide of what you should do
1-There are many people with lots of money out there. Try and get to them. Seek help and you will get it. Though these people have money but they are too busy with their own shitty lives. Channelize their money. Use it to build tools through which you can carve your life. Get educated. Education wont add a lot to what you already know, but it will give you a platform to use your already empowered being and carve a niche for yourself
2-Don't die in the slums. Don't kill anyone, trust me killing another nameless person out of angst against your life will not help you. Even if you don't get education, there still are thousands of other ways to get money. Become an artist for one. Draw, Dance, Sing, Paint, make movies. If you are in India, utilize these talent shows. If you are talented, people will vote for you for two reasons.Pity and the entertainment you provide them. When you turn big, help other kids of your like.
3-Get into politics if you are aggressive. It needs no education. Lots of money to be made, lots of power and the same rules which apply on the road apply inside the parliament as well. You have more skills than you know.
4-Be thankful to God, you live the life of a mosquito but you still live it in human form. That still is better than being a mosquito. Chances to grow are infinite. No one can stop you to get what you want to get. No slum, no poverty, no nothing. Stop pitying yourself. Get empowered from within and things will fall in reach
5-Don't get distressed by ugly situations, don't get too happy by small achievements. Be sharp as a razor, don't stop till you get to the peak of the mountain you call the dream of your life.
6-You will be exposed to sex, drugs and weapons a lot earlier. If you cant avoid them, at least be safe in their usage. Try not to get Aids, not to shoot someone in the head and not to overdose. Do this if you wanna die nameless as well, don't do it if you wanna be grieved by the whole nation when you die.
7-You are powerful. most of the big people became big because they had humble beginnings. They had few things to lose and hence they took risks. You had shitty beginnings, that give you all the more room to take bigger risks. Use it to your advantage.
8-If you think being an engineer or doctor is cool, do refer to point-1. Try to make your way to these NGOs who can fund your education.
9-If all of you follow my above advises, probably 10% of you can derive a good life out of that. the 90% of you who already are in deep shit. Don't give up. Don't give up EVER. Your soul is more powerful than you think it is. The universe will make ways to get you out of trouble if you are insistent on getting out of them. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. You have 2 choices, make it going, or perish. Don't perish. You will thank yourself for not giving up the fight few years down the line
10-Remember, after God all mighty...you are equally powerful as probably Obama is....Realize this power, use this power...Be the last man standing...Win......
And if at all you follow these suggestions and end up becoming a self-made man/woman with the strongest foundations, do come to see me before I Die.
